Thank you to everyone who entered the June-September 2013 photo competition at the Australian Synchrotron.

The winner of the June-September 2013 photo competition is ‘a cube in a round mirror’ (right) submitted by Terry Cornall, Senior Controls Engineer at the Australian Synchrotron. The judges commended this photo for its creativity, interesting geometry, detail and colour.

Second place goes to ‘synchrotron at sunset’, taken from the guesthouse and submitted by synchrotron user Johanna Howes from the University of Technology, Sydney.

The judges liked Johanna's photo for its composition, colour and “the mood it seemed to capture with the light reflection and cloud”.

The judges also liked ‘Australian Synchrotron linac’ (below, left) from Gary Ruben (VeRSI contractor) and ‘condensation streams’ (below right)  from Terry Cornall (AS).

The deadline for the next round of the photo competition has been extended to Friday 28 March 2014. Submit your entry.
