Two Australian Synchrotron users are among the 12 winners of the prestigious Victoria Fellowships for 2012.

The awards will enable William Gee from Monash University and David Ascher from St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research to gain international experience and bring the results back home.

William is looking for ways to produce cheaper and greener plastic products. David is working on a new approach for drugs to treat cancer. Synchrotron users like William and David will meet in Melbourne this week to swap ideas and learn from national and international experts.
