Stephen Griffiths, who leads the AS electronics and electrical engineering group, is one of the authors of a recently published Nature Physics paper on a new breed of accelerator.
The work is expected to lead to powerful advances in machine characteristics, particularly for future particle accelerators such as muon and high-intensity proton accelerators.
