The Australian Synchrotron has appointed an Industry Advisory Committee to provide advice to management. The committee will also function as an advocacy and lobby group when appropriate opportunities arise. The committee meets quarterly and is chaired by Erol Harvey, the CEO of miniFAB. The committee members are:
Ian Crick, Innovation & Technology Manager, Dulux Group
Dulux Powder Coatings is the largest powder supplier in Australia and New Zealand. As a pioneer in the powder coatings industry, Dulux Powder Coatings offers a wide range of stock and custom made powder coating colours and technologies. Ian has served on a IAC for Melbourne University Faculty of Science.
Bruce Kefford, Deputy Secretary, Victorian Department of Primary Industries
Agriculture Victoria Services provides an important link between the activities of the Victorian Department of Primary Industries research divisions and the private sector. Bruce Kefford has been a member of the AVS Board since 1997 and was chairman of the company from 2000 to 2008. Bruce is Deputy Secretary, DPI Agriculture Productivity and Industry Development, and has a background in research, management and policy development in the food and agriculture sector. Bruce is also a director of Dairy Futures CRC and the Biosciences Research Centre Pty Ltd.
Peter Voigt, CEO, Clean TeQ
Clean TeQ is an Australasian environmental and mining services group focused on developing, commercialising and selling air purification, metal recovery and water purification technologies. Peter Voigt established Clean TeQ in 1990 and up to his appointment as CEO was the company's Chief Technology Officer, responsible for all research and development activities and the negotiation and management of overseas licences. Peter is a biochemist, with extensive experience in product development, technology commercialisation, and developing complete engineering solutions.
Erol Harvey, CEO, miniFAB
MiniFAB has extensive experience in the development of lab-on-a-chip microfluidic systems, disposable cartridges for point of care diagnostics, micro and nano engineered medical devices and systems for sample preparation and handling. Working together with its clients, MiniFAB develops and builds products that capitalise upon key intellectual property, add value to portfolios, and enhance market competitiveness. Located at Small Technologies Cluster in Scoresby - successfully commercialised biotech devices, now part of Monash Bionic Vision Team.
